A wiki is a web site which many people can contribute to, as well as visiting. This LXF Wiki is a typical example.

The original and most famous is the [Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org)]. It uses the MediaWiki software - a free PHP application based upon the standard LAMP free software platform.

LXF Wiki currently uses an earlier version of mediaWiki.

Alternative wiki software also exists.
