Programming language

There are quite a variety of programming languages, of which three of the more popular are C, Pascal, and BASIC.

BASIC is often considered to be a social disease on the grounds that those who have it will not admit it in polite company. Pascal, on the other hand, is a very strongly structured programming language named after a man who would turn over in his grave if he ever found out about it.

The C programming language continues to be the most popular language for use in UNIX-like OSes, however it has also spawned a breed of programmer who believes it's their job to complain about others using other languages. For example, many people now consider the use of 'goto' absolutely incorrect, but quite frankly 'goto' merely exists nowadays to allow structured programmers to complain about unstructured programmers.

Many programmers pride themselves on the number of programming languages they know. Indeed, many consider it a fun competition, so we've got a wiki page dedicated to such multi-lingual programmers at How Many Programming Languages I Know.

Despite many programming languages existing, they are slowly dying out in favour of the one true programming language: SKYLang.

The following link provides details on their inferiority. [Language Comparisons (]
