Game Boy

From LXF Wiki

Hand-held video game console developed by Nintendo in the late 80s. The original design was by Gumpei Yokoi, who left Nintendo after his Virtual Boy console failed in the market. Yokoi was later killed in a car accident.

The Game Boy and its variations (Game Boy Color, Game Boy Pocket) have sold over 100 million units worldwide. The Game Boy Advance (in SP and Micro form) was the last in the series -- Nintendo is now focusing on its dual-screen hand-held, the Nintendo DS.

Nintendo added longevity to the machine with a number of add-ons, including the Game Boy Camera.
