Community Conversion PDFs

From LXF Wiki

This page shows all the PDFs that are available for conversion. They are in three categories: OPEN (available for you to convert), IN PROGRESS (someone else has started work on them, FINISHED (the conversion process is complete). Each of these links corresponds to one of the PDFs available here (http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/wikipdfs).

If you want to convert one of these PDFs, please edit this page and move the appropriate PDF link to the IN PROGRESS section. MAKE SURE you place the wiki text --~~~~ (dash dash tilde tilde tilde tilde) after each PDF you want to convert, because that will attach your username to the PDF so we know who is working on it. When you're done, move it to the FINISHED section so that other people can review your conversion for accuracy and wiki formatting. You can leave articles in IN PROGRESS for as long as you need, but please take only one at a time.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Some of these PDFs have already been converted to tutorials on this wiki. Please check the wiki homepage before you start any conversion to ensure you don't convert something that we've already converted! Some people have already started to convert articles that have already been converted. Please don't waste your energy, folks - the following pages list articles already converted:

Category:LXF Articles is a community-maintained list with, at the last count, 17 more articles than the "official" list (see below).
Uncategorized pages reveals any new articles that have not been categorised yet: please add the following code to these pages: [[Category:LXF Articles]], and add any other relevant category too. The article will then magically appear in the community-maintained list.
The Main Page includes an Administrator-maintained list..
LXF Tutorials is another Admin-maintained page broadly duplicating the main list.

Update: at the bottom we've added links to interview conversion pages. The PDFs, like those for the tutorials, can be found available here (http://www.linuxformat.co.uk/wikipdfs).
