Hotkeys for Google Chromebook

Hi dudes, my laptop died yesterday so I bought a Chromebook and an external dvd writer. What are the hotkeys on ChromeOS to get into the bios / get it to boot off usb or dvd drive please? aha, tia from Alex.

If you're picking boot options, the OS isn't loaded yet, so the hotkeys depend on the hardware. Google will tell you.

It's Escape, Refresh {f5 on a PC} and the button to the left of the on / off button top right corner that is. INS on a PC Volume Up on a Chromebook at any time when the OS {pornounced as in ''Ostrich. OSS , or Horse in my county. 'OSS!} is running.

And then <ctrl> d no matter what error message you get. This is how you put a Chromebook into developer mode. ie how to root a Chromebook. They really love it when I do this in the shop! Well, he shouldn't have told me he would put macafee on it and no probs with the proprietry drivers and that it would play dvdz.................
